  October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month - a good time to make sure you're up to date on your screening.  For people at average risk, the U.S. Preventive Services Task Force recommends a mammogram every two years from age 40 through 74. A mammogram is an X-ray of the breast that can find breast cancer before there are signs or symptoms. Other organizations have different recommendations, including annual screenings in some cases, so your healthcare provider can help you decide on the schedule that is best for you. Recommendations may be different for people with a family history of breast cancer, certain genetic risks, or other factors .  If you aren't sure when you're due, it's okay. You don't need to memorize the guidelines or your history. Recipe: Soy Sauce Eggs

  Soy Sauce Eggs With soup season in full swing, a simple egg can provide much needed comfort, flavor, and protein in a brothy bowl of noodles. This is a template recipe; feel free to experiment by adding in chili crisp, rice vinegar, chives, scallions, garlic, or ginger. Makes 6 eggs 20 minutes active time, 12 hours marinating time Ingredients 6 eggs 1/3 cup water 1/3 cup soy sauce 1/3 cup rice wine vinegar Directions 1. Bring a pot of water to a full boil.  2. Gently lower in eggs.  3. Start a timer: 6 1/2 minutes for a jammy yolk, 8 minutes for a slightly creamy yolk, and 11 minutes for a fully set yolk. Prepare an ice bath: Put some ice cubes in a bowl and cover with cold water. 4. When eggs are done, transfer them to the ice bath. Let cool before peeling.
