Stay Active
Exercise can improve your mood and energy. It can also prevent fatigue and boost confidence!
How much exercise do you need?
- It's important to check in with where you are currently before you set your goals. Check with your doctor if this is the first time you'll start exercising, or haven't been exercising for a while.
- A good goal to work up to is the AHA guidelines of 150 minutes per week. That shakes out to about 30 minutes, about 5 days a week.
What type of exercise is best?
- Without question, the one you enjoy most!

Eat well
Eating adequate amounts of nutritious food is important to take care of your physical body. Eating right is so important that it gets its own section of the wheel- stay tuned for more soon.
Manage stress
Though it can sometimes be hard to make the connection, high levels of stress are damaging to physical health and can lead to health problems and illness. Managing stress through mindfulness, exercise, meditation, yoga, journaling, talking with friends, therapy, or even cutting back on responsibilities (if possible) is important to take care of your physical wellbeing. This is another topic we'll cover in more detail in other sections of the Wellness Wheel.
Visit your Doctor
Keeping up to date with check ups, follow ups, and immunizations helps keep you in the drivers seat of your health! Prevent problems before they arise, and manage conditions with regular visits.
