National Walking Day Success at DHR!

Department of Human Resources observed National Walking Day by getting out for a quick walk around Montpelier and afterward, enjoyed a salad potluck with one another. Fun and good eats was had by all. Thank you to our fellow coworkers who joined us!

Not able to get out for a walk on National Walking Day?
No problem. On Wednesday, April 27th, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Vermont is sponsoring 5 community walks in the following locations to observe National Walk at Lunch Day:

  • Burlington - In front of City Hall, Church Street
  • Burlington - UVM Medical Center, across from main hospital lobby
  • Montpelier - State House Lawn
  • Rutland - Rutland Regional Medical Center, Walking Loop
  • St. Johnsbury - Trailhead of the Lamoille Valley Rail Trail 

Register for your own walk at your worksite or a nearby location at www.bcbsvt.com/walkatlunch by April 15, and receive posters, stickers and walking maps as incentives to get your co-workers up and moving. Please order early to receive your materials in time for the walk. BCBSVT can also provide an e-mail template and other tools to promote your event!
