Long-Distance Caregiving

Even though you might not be providing day-to-day care, you can still serve a very important role.  
Here are some ways you can help:
  • Offer to assist with finances, money management, or bill paying
  • Arrange for in-home care—hire professional caregivers or home health or nursing aides
  • Provide emotional support  
  • Create a plan and get paperwork in order in case of an emergency
