What to Know for Race Day: 2023 Corporate Cup

The Corporate Cup In-Person Race is on 5/11, and you can register until 5/8.  Register here if you haven't already!

Live too far away? You can complete a virtual race with your teammates as well! Full details on virtual racing here.

CHECK-IN AND BIB PICK UP:

  • You can pick up bibs for your teammates, but you must go to the different sections of the Registration Tent to locate their bibs which are filed by last name. To avoid confusion, let your teammates know that you've picked up their bibs, so they don't wait in line also.
  • All bibs contain a chip that is needed to record your time. You will need the tear-off tab portion of the bib, if you registered to receive a t-shirt.
BIB PLACEMENT:
  • Please pin your bib on the front of your shirt and be sure it can be seen at all times.
T-SHIRT:
  • If you registered to receive a t-shirt, you can pick it up once you get your race bib at the registration tent.
  • With your bib, head to the t-shirt tent. You need the bottom portion of your bib to receive your shirt. No tear-off, no T-shirt.
START TIMES:
  • Runners will start at 5:45 PM at the starting line in front of the State House. If you are not an experienced runner, please do not line up in the very beginning of the pack... you will be trampled. This is an event for all levels of runners/walkers but keep in mind, there are competitive participants.
  • Walkers will start at approximately 5:55 PM, after the runners, using the same starting line.
TIMING:
  • We will be doing a true start and end time. The timer of the race will use the chip in your bib to record the time that you actually step over the starting/finish line to record your time.
TOILETS AND WATER:
  • Many Port-O-Lets will be available. Be sure to drink plenty of water before the race!
  • Water will only be provided at the finish line in bottled water form.
  • Please bring your own water bottle, filled with water for prior to the race and on the race course.
  • There will not be a water stop along the course this year.
PARKING:
  • Please try to carpool as it is very busy, and the City of Montpelier has limited parking.
  • Participants may park in the parking lots of any State of Vermont office building along State Street and Taylor Street (at the end of the day), unless a space is signed or reserved for a specific reason, participants may also park at Montpelier High School.
  • ABSOLUTELY NO PARKING ON: MEMORIAL DRIVE; GREEN MOUNTAIN DRIVE; GOVERNOR AKIN AVE.

POST-RACE:
  • Refreshments will be provided to participants after the race.
  • Final results will be posted on our site as well as http://www.gsrs.com/raceresults within 12 hours from the finish of the race. Results will not be final until the beginning of the following week.
  • Awards will be presented to the top 3 teams in each category and class for the in-person race only. They will be mailed to the winning teams by the end of June.
  • If you do not receive your award, you must email your team name and members of your team, along with the address to which it is to be mailed to no later than July 31, 2023.
